I didn’t realize you were going to Houston, TEXAS! That’s awesome! And where I went to college… and thus I must inform you that there are some unbelievably AMAZING places to eat and many of them have been featured on the Food Network. I shit you not. The best Tex Mex in the world can be located in two different places – Chuy’s (sounds like “chewy’s” – their t-shirts are a big thing and are on MTV and weird stuff…) and then Pappasito’s. The pecan pie at Goode Company Barbeque on Main Street is also amazing and on the food channel. There are some amazing Italian places too… Prego and Collina’s in the Rice Village are also amazing! Seriously, my mouth is watering. And there’s a really good reason (or few thousand) that it’s the fattest city in the world (or at least it was for several years, according to Men’s Health). If you have any time, I highly HIGHLY recommend Chuy’s if you only have time for one… but seriously, the others are ridiculously amazing too….

I am relieved upon reading Meldoesgradschool (above) to hear that maybe, just maybe STL is NOT the fattest city? (We gotta be in the top 5, though. Not you, Nor, just the rest of the city).
Anyway, keep us current on some of Mel’s food recommendations. I so don’t want the chile we’re about to have, having heard what a lot of choices you have! (and you don’t have to clean up or anything!)
What’s the reason for that? Where did you find this tip? I would love to read about that.
