Nora’s 100 Things
1. I’m a Libra.
2. Because I’m a Libra I am very indecisive. My indecision can be painful to watch/listen to.
3. I’m allergic to all fruits, most vegetables, all tree nuts, soy, seasame seeds and fish.
4. I dye my hair some shade of black every six weeks.
5. I’ve only been in StL since 1993.
6. Before that we lived in Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York & California. No, I’m not an army brat.
7. To date, I’ve had 2.5 serious realtionships. I’m currently in my third one and it’s glorious.
8. Prior to dating Irish, I had been officially “single,” for over three years.
9 . The first book I ever read as a kid was Runaway Bunny.
10. I prefer blue ball point pens to black pens.
11. I lucked out and had my dorm room to myself my second semester, freshman year in college. It was pretty kick ass.
12. I was a band dork in high school for two years: Flute & Piccolo.
13. I wised up and quit band only to join another cult: The Yearbook.
14. I became a Yearbook editor both my junior and senior year in high school. I even dated the Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook those two years.
15. My first car was a green Ford Contour. While I loved the car I was glad to see it go when it turned to a hunk of junk.
16. I am Italian but have yet to be to Italy.
17. I’ve visited England and Canada twice.
18. I could live in a hut on the beach and be eternally happy.
19. I’m addicted to buying shoes, purses, and stuff from Victoria’s Secret.
20. I get nervous when I’m the center of attention: surprise parties, speeches and anything similiar cause me to break out in hives.
21. I got my ears pierced when I turned 11.
22. I went for my first pedicure at the age of 23.
23. I was young for my grade in school so I wasn’t able to drive until two months into my junior year.
24. I’m a former Big Brothers/Big Sister volunteer. When I’m done with grad school and life settles down a bit, I intend to do it again.
25. If you forced me to watch only one movie, everyday, for the rest of my life it would be The Notebook.
26. I’m a ridiculous hopeless romantic at heart.
27. To me, cheese is heaven.
28. I have seen Dave Matthews Band eight times in concert and counting.
29. For a few years of my life I thought I wanted to be an actress so I took summer school acting classes. I was cast in small roles like “Candy Striper,” and “tree.”
30. Because of #29, I turned my attention to what goes on behind the curtain and became Stage Manager for all three plays my eighth grade year in middle school.
31. I took French in 6th grade all the way until my junior year in college.
32. While I can read and listen to French and understand it, my accent is now horrible.
33. I’d like to go back to school and start French all over again.
34. I took piano lessons for three or four years. I loved it; still not sure why I quit.
35. If I could have a farm, I would make it a rescue, no-kill shelter for dogs big and small.
36. I’m afraid of heights.
37. I’ve been inside and to the top of the St. Louis Arch over ten times.
38. On the nights I’m not with my boyfriend I either cuddle with my dog, Jack, or sleep with a stuffed animal. I know, I’m old but I need something in my arms.
39. The latest I’ve ever slept in is 2pm. I believe I went to sleep around 5 am that morning.
40. I change cell phones as often as women change their hairstyle. I’ve had my Blackberry Pearl for a year… which is a record for me.
41. I’m an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Derek Jeter.
42. I detest coffee.
43. I wonder how people survived without digital cameras. I can’t find half my good pictures from college.
44. The first alcoholic drink I ever tried was a Strawberry Wine Cooler.
45. The first time I ever got drunk was on keg beer, two months into my freshman year in college.
46. I’ve never smoked pot.
47. I was voted most likely to be on a dating show my sophomore year in college.
48. All throughout my freshman and sophomore year in college I dated at least two guys at a time. Taught me a lot about the male species.
49. I don’t enjoy flying in airplanes; it seems too unnatural.
50. I have a bad habit of enjoying midnight snacks.
51. I’ve had six roomies over the last eight years.
52. I now live alone and love it.
53. When it comes to wine, Chardonnay is my favorite.
54. I wear flip-flops non-stop in the summer.
55. My hair color used to be dark brown. It’s now light brown with a hint of red.
56. My hair is curly in the humidity.
57. I was a camp counselor, twice, for my school district’s sixth-grade-camp program.
58. When I was in middle school I played bells in the Church Bell Choir.
59. I also sang in the Church Choir for a time.
60. I rarely go to Church now, if ever.
61. I would love to clone my dog Jack.
62. I didn’t officially own my own NEW car until I was 24.
63. I never wanted to buy a smart phone but now I have an awesome Blackberry Curve. And I’m a tad addicted, though I’m good at turning it off when I need to.
64. Running is my favorite source of exercise/cardio.
65. When my family lived in Florida we had season passes to Disney. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve been to Disney.
66. I love Disney and would go back at a moment’s notice.
67. I’m worried there are duplicates on here.
68. When I was little I had a denim jean jacket that proudly displayed a Bon Jovi fan button.
69. I hated The Wonder Years when it first came on TV.
70. I loved Boy Meets World.
71. I didn’t have my first “real” kiss until I was 14.
72. I worked at an polling place for the 2004 Primary Elections. Very cool experience.
73. I have been pulled over by a cop only once in my entire driving career.
74. Somedays I want to give it all up and run away. Somewhere. Warm.
75. I don’t like to kill insects because I feel bad about taking their lives.
76. If it were possible I would stay 25 for the rest of my life.
77. I once had two goldfish.
78. I named them Pablo & Picasso.
79. I think I had them for close to a year.
80. One of my favorite kid toys: Lincoln Logs!
81. I bought tickets to see New Kids on the Block when they came to StL but my friend decided NOT to go, I couldn’t find anyone to buy them and so I didn’t go.
82. I would like to have a huge kitchen when I buy a house so I can make fabulous concoctions.
83. I used to be totally awesome at tennis. I even took lessons.
84. One sport I would love to get involved in: Boxing.
85. I suppose I can’t really do it considering I see clients all day at my office. Might scare them away.
86. I would have liked to know my dad’s father.
87. Like many other girls I had a fascination with James Dean. And had posters of him in my room.
88. I’m not entirely sure I want to have children.
89. I love going to live concerts.
90. I have been in a limo five times throughout my life.
91. I don’t like the words cute/nice to describe women.
92. Flying in airplanes absolutely terrifies me.
93. I never thought I would continue to blog.
94. Somedays I wish I had gone to law school. Maybe becuase I love to fight?
95. My favorite smell: fresh chocolate chip cookies.
96. Favorite past time: reading. Maybe movies. Or writing notecards.
97. I have a large box of scrapbooking stuff that isn’t getting nearly as much use as it should be.
98. I am a night owl.
99. I believe in ghosts and most other scifi things.
