Everyday

8 Jun
  • Seventh Dave Matthews Band Concert for Nora. Location: Busch Stadium (the first concert ever at the new stadium).
  • Seven beers over the course of seven hours (more than Nora has consumed since… uh, yeah, she’s not sure when. Vegas, maybe. Doubling up on the gym tomorrow fo’sho).
  • $30= the amount Nora happily spent on this year’s DMB t-shirt and new design
  • Over 15,000 people easily who gathered together to hear one man’s band play for over two hours
  • Six= the number of people around Nora who were smoking “The Pot.”
  • Two = the number of people in Nora’s group who didn’t stand up and dance… to one song (sacreligious if you ask me).
  • Three = the number of encore songs that DMB played
  • 1/2 = the number of girls who wore HEELS to a concert. HEELS. Trust me, I like my heels (I have over 20 pairs of them) but to a concert?
  • Zero dollars we had to pay to park. Got to love the law firm my friend works for thus guaranteeing free parking in the parking garage.
  • One = the number of years Nora will wait until she gets to see DMB again…
  • 365 days a year that Nora listens to a DMB song

Thanks, Nora. I was there and enjoyed it immensely. Very impressed with Busch as a concert venue. It worked.

Sounds like you had an okay time!! Does Sunny, palm tree swaying Florida mean anything to you?…Location, location, location!

One more pertinent ?…. How am I to see “About This Girl” when I’m not twenty something…Hell I’m not thirty something? Is this some type of geriatric discrimination?? LOL

Lincolnguy- I was just so thrilled to be there! The acoustics took some getting used to (we were the second to last row at the top, but the breeze was AMAZING) but it pretty much rocked. Very cool to be there for a historic event.

Palegray– Florida? One of my favorite places on this earth. Used to live there. Usually make a yearly trek but this year it doesn’t look like it’s happening.
And no, it’s not geriatric discrimination, just a new site to get more readers and be part of a different kind of group

That figures…Just my luck! Well if you change your mind, I’ll escort you to some of your old hangouts and you can escort me to mine… Deal?
