Summer…

18 Jun

… is for:

Watching Sunsets.  Wishing for a palm tree and pina colada. Impromptu late night chats on the patio. Dining al fresco. Sidewalk chalk.  Blowing bubbles.

Lazy walks with the dog. Flip-flops and maincured toes. Sunscreen and shades. Mainpulating a few extra days vacation out of your boss. Getting to the ocean.

Visiting the penguins at the zoo. Rediscovering your city.  Street fairs and farmer’s markets. Concerts and baseball games.

Float trips. Standing in the rain during a thunderstorm. Afternoon naps. Planning an old-fashioned sleepover.  Ice cream cones.

Splashing in the pool. Loud music, windows down, wind in your hair. Flowy dresses. Renewed hope.

What are your summers for?

Summers are for being outside and letting the breeze lazily run through my hair, going for long walks and dancing to music outside. Oh and walking through a rainstorm is fun too!

For me summer is all of the above! Sadly I take Summer course (college), but thankfully a few “close to home” road trips with the hubby more than makes up for it. :D

You just got me so excited about summer! Can we also add sno-cones to that list?

This summer is for cleaning and purging, putting my feet up, snuggling my pups, and getting ready to have two babies.

Oh…and lots of ice cream and s’mores. :)

Sun, sand, sea, ice-cream, late nights on the terrace with my family, watching sunsets, getting a healthy glow so I don’t look so pasty ;), working out, etc.

I love this post…summer is for reading and laying on the beach or by the pool. Summer is for tanning and becoming blonder thanks to the sun!

    Blogger meet ups!

And… outdoor concerts, flip flops and sandals on my feet, sundresses, barbeques, building sand castles in the sand with my nephews, and jumping off the end of the dock!

Summers are for air conditioning! And, apparently, moving, visiting with loved ones, and ice cold water.

This post makes me feel the rays of sunshine. And makes me wish this stupid rain would quit inserting its nose into my business every other day!
