5 Minutes: January

31 Jan

Rather than doing my monthly obsession posts like I did last year, I plan on doing a little bit of “reverb” at the end of every month. I’m borrowing this idea from the #Reverb10 folks and will be taking five minutes each month to write down all the things I don’t want to forget about the month that just passed.

♦ Laughing hysterically while doing Just Dance with my mom (and getting a serious arm/shoulder/back/ab workout in the process. Seriously!). ♦ Teaching Knight’s girls to blow & catch kisses; then watching them do it from the window of his house when I had to leave. ♦ Two snow days ♦ Reading over 1500 pages in January and loving every single one of them. ♦ Recommitting to my health and fitness, feeling the soreness in my body and knowing that I’m doing the right thing and something I love. ♦ Making big, huge, adult life decisions. ♦  Fabulous girl/best friend weekend with Lisa (more to come on that!) ♦ Video chats with amazing friends. ♦ Allowing myself a bit more me time and a bit less everyone else time. ♦ The shock and surprise on my face when I saw that two kids put a bag of dog poop, on fire, on my parents front porch. ♦ Late night dates with Knight full of smiles and love, hope and joy. ♦ Finishing up my two vacation days from 2010, which meant two Fridays off in a row. ♦ Putting together creative and comfortable outfits that express who I am. ♦ Feeling positive, optimistic, excited and very much like myself. ♦

What do you want to remember about this past month?
What are your hopes/goals for the next month?

“Teaching Knight’s girls to blow & catch kisses; then watching them do it from the window of his house when I had to leave.” OH MY GOODNESS! This is so wildly cute that it’s hard to even think about! :)

I’m so happy that you had such a wonderful January Nora, you’ve so earned your happiness :) :)

I can’t believe this month has flown by!! What I remember most about this month is having the paper in hand saying my photography is official! Probably the biggest highlight of this month!

What a great January you’ve had! What I want to remember from January – even in the face of despair, there is hope.

    I love you.

Let’s see….. January will be called the month of blogging. With Stratejoy and such, I feel like I am a real writer. So I bought my own domain, and now I am going to be a blogging ninja. That’s what happens when you buy a domain, you become a ninja. I think.

What a fun way to end a month! I love it. You’ve had quite the month. My biggest goals currently are to keep up with my school work (I’ll be 3 months away from graduating! Squee!) and keep losing weight!

Aw, what a fabulous month recap! I am glad I got to be part of your month! I want to remember my fab trips to Tucson & St Louis. I want to remember the feeling of accomplishment when i had completed 1/3 of the CFA study materials. I want to remember the feeling of utter joy when I got my job offer – and the excitement in my parents voices (and friends, too) when I shared my exciting news! I want to remember the afternoon spent having lunch/getting pedi’s w/ 2 of my closest friends.

So much good stuff to reflect on – it sure outweighs the bad things!!!

Is it weird that I did this today too? I didn’t even think about how it ties in with #reverb10, but it absolutely does. I guess great minds think alike.

And the dog poo? Wow. Just – wow. I didn’t think that happened in real life.

Sounds like a pretty awesome January. Just Dance is the best game ever, because it’s fun but also a workout!
